About the Role

Own the end-to-end performance of a defined lender portfolio, including revenue, cost, efficiency, and gross profit (GP). Act as the single senior point of contact for the lender on all delivery aspects. Build and scale a high-performing Collections Manager (CM)-led organization that consistently meets or exceeds commitments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Profit Ownership

  • Drive quarter-on-quarter revenue growth across the assigned portfolio
  • Ensure gross profit (GP%) adherence in line with targets
  • Optimize cost structures without impacting delivery outcomes

2. Portfolio Delivery Excellence

  • Own collection efficiency across all accounts within the portfolio
  • Drive red-day management and recovery strategies
  • Ensure consistent achievement of operational KPIs

3. Lender Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary senior stakeholder interface for lenders
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with lender leadership
  • Drive high CSAT and NPS outcomes

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing CM layer
  • Ensure succession planning and bench strength within the portfolio
  • Drive performance culture and leadership capability

5. Business Visibility & Governance

  • Provide clear, proactive visibility on portfolio health
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and timely reporting
  • Maintain a no surprises governance approach

Success Metrics

  • Consistent SLA adherence and recovery target achievement across Pan-India portfolios
  • Measurable improvement in roll rates, resolution rates, and cost-to-collect across DPD buckets
  • High client retention, renewal rates, and NPS from senior client stakeholders
  • Year-on-year revenue growth from managed accounts via expansion and upsell
  • Strong people metrics — team retention, internal promotions, and performance benchmarks
  • Reduction in escalations and compliance incidents through proactive governance

Must-Have Skills

  • Portfolio consistently meets or exceeds revenue and GP targets
  • Stable, scalable delivery with predictable performance
  • Strong lender confidence with high retention and satisfaction
  • A self-sustaining leadership bench within the portfolio
  • Zero last-minute escalations due to strong governance and foresight

What We're Looking For

  • 15–18+ years of experience in collections, portfolio management, or operations leadership
  • Proven track record of owning P&L / revenue and delivery outcomes
  • Strong experience managing lender/client relationships at senior levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale mid-layer leadership teams (CM/AM/TL)
  • High ownership mindset with strong analytical and execution capabilities
