About the Team

The Business Management (BM) function is part of the India IT organization and operates within a global operating model. The team provides governance, financial discipline, vendor oversight, and operational controls across technology spend, vendors, and contingent workforce. The role works closely with global BM, Vendor Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment to enterprise standards while tailoring execution to India-specific scale and operating needs.

Role Summary:

The Vice President – Business Management is accountable for vendor and contract governance, financial cost control, and operational hygiene across the IT ecosystem. This role carries strong ownership for Vendor and Contract Management, ensuring that all supplier engagements operate within approved commercial constructs, contractual terms, and control frameworks. The incumbent acts as a control and insight point for IT vendors, contracts, spend, and workforce—partnering closely with global stakeholders to drive transparency, risk management, and value realization.

Responsibilities:

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Own centralized governance across all IT vendors, MSAs, SOWs, and supplier engagements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of vendors, contracts, SOWs, and active engagements; ensure adherence to commercial and contractual terms.
  • Track contract validity, milestones, notice periods, renewals, extensions, consolidations, and exits with forward-looking visibility.
  • Coordinate vendor performance reviews and QBRs; track commitments, actions, and outcomes.
  • Proactively flag delivery risks, contractual deviations, commercial leakages, and control gaps for timely resolution.
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Legal, and Global Vendor Management to ensure consistency with enterprise standards.

Financial & Cost Governance

  • Track and manage IT spend across budget, forecast, actuals, and accruals across fiscal years.
  • Maintain approved rate cards and standardized cost structures across vendors and roles; assess and highlight financial impact of rate changes.
  • Standardize cost centers, charge codes, vendor classifications, and rate constructs to improve transparency and comparability.
  • Perform variance and trend analysis to identify cost drivers, structural risks, and optimization opportunities.

Contingent Workforce & Resource Operations

  • Provide operational oversight for non-employee IT workforce including contractors and consultants.
  • Maintain a centralized view of contractor headcount by vendor, role, location, and cost center.
  • Track engagement end dates and proactively notify hiring managers of renewals or exits.
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding controls, including access management and documentation closure, are executed with discipline.

Controls Readiness & Governance

  • Maintain SOPs, governance artefacts, trackers, and reference materials covering vendor, financial, and workforce controls.
  • Track control gaps, audit findings, and risk items with structured escalation and management visibility.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure continuous readiness against regulatory and internal control expectations.

Reporting, Insights & Stakeholder Enablement

  • Deliver leadership-ready reporting across vendor, contract, spend, and workforce dimensions.
  • Convert financial and operational data into clear insights for global and regional leadership forums.
  • Highlight risks, trends, cost drivers, and decision implications in a concise, structured manner.
  • Act as a coordination point for Business Management and Vendor Management matters.
  • Prepare standardized decks for governance forums, QBRs, and senior leadership reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 14+ years of Business Management, Vendor Management, and Financial Governance experience within BFSI, large technology organizations, or Global Capability Centers.
  • Strong expertise in vendor and contract management, including MSAs, SOWs, rate cards, and commercial controls.
  • Proven experience managing large, multi-vendor IT ecosystems with global stakeholder interaction.
  • Deep understanding of financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analytics.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant finance/commercial certifications preferred
