Vice Chancellor- Reputed University in Central India

Role Overview:

The Vice Chancellor will be the academic and administrative head of the University, responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving the institution's academic excellence, research, student outcomes, faculty development and overall institutional growth. The role will involve working closely with the Chancellor, governing bodies, faculty, students, industry and other stakeholders to strengthen the University's reputation and long-term development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and academic leadership to the University and translate the institution's vision into measurable objectives.
• Lead the development and implementation of the University's academic, research and institutional strategy.
• Strengthen academic quality, curriculum development, pedagogy and student-centric learning.
• Drive research, innovation, publications, patents and industry/academic collaborations.
• Build and mentor a strong team of Deans, HoDs, faculty and academic administrators.
• Improve student admissions, retention, placements and employability outcomes.
• Develop relationships with industry, corporates, international universities and academic institutions.
• Lead initiatives for accreditation, rankings and regulatory compliance, including relevant UGC/statutory requirements.
• Oversee institutional administration, academic governance, infrastructure development and resource utilization.
• Represent the University before government bodies, regulators, industry associations and academic forums.
• Work with the management on the University's expansion, brand building and long-term growth strategy.

Preferred Qualification

• Ph.D. and strong academic credentials.
• Significant experience in higher education leadership and university administration.
• Experience as Vice Chancellor / Pro Vice Chancellor / Dean / Director / Registrar / senior academic administrator or an equivalent institutional leadership position.
• Strong understanding of UGC regulations, accreditation, academic governance and higher-education administration.
