Inventory Planning & Optimization

  • Plan and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Use inventory management tools and KPIs (e.g., stock turnover rate, days of inventory) to optimize stock across warehouses and retail locations.
  • Implement effective practices for managing perishable and regulated products like pet medicines.

Vendor Management & Procurement Coordination

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts to support gross margin goals.
  • Partner with procurement to streamline sourcing and strengthen supplier performance.

  • Analyze the profitability of pet food and medicine categories by reviewing cost structures, pricing, and supply chain expenses.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and process improvements to boost margins.
  • Reduce wastage, markdowns, and inefficiencies through data-driven decision-making.

P&L Accountability:

  • Collaborate with finance to monitor category-wise P&L; and profitability targets.
  • Analyze variances between planned and actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Align supply chain decisions with overall business and financial goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Support marketing campaigns by ensuring timely product availability for promotions.
  • Manage supply risks during demand spikes or disruptions.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

Who You Are

  • 1-4 years of experience in supply chain, operations, consulting, or analytics.
  • Strong analytical and Excel/Google Sheets skills (SQL or ERP knowledge a plus).
