Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Social Worker located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Veterinary Social Worker will be responsible for providing emotional support and counseling to pet owners, assisting veterinary staff with managing client relationships, and developing support programs. Daily tasks include conducting assessments, providing crisis intervention, and facilitating grief support groups. The role also involves collaborating with the veterinary team to create a supportive environment for clients and pet owners.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Social Work, Counseling, and Emotional Support skills
  • Experience in Crisis Intervention and Grief Support
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Program Development and Client Relationship Management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience in the veterinary or healthcare field is a plus
  • Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred
