Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Officer role based in Gujarat, India. The Veterinary Officer will oversee and manage the health care of livestock and poultry, implementing best practices in veterinary medicine for disease prevention and treatment. The role involves assessing animal health, diagnosing medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing guidance on the well-being of animals. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote public awareness of animal health and hygiene may also be required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Veterinary Medicine and the application of contemporary medical practices in animal healthcare
- Strong understanding of Livestock and Poultry management, ensuring proper care and disease prevention
- Expertise in Science, particularly related to animal health and welfare
- Commitment to promoting Animal Health through diagnosis, treatment, and preventive healthcare
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and collaborate effectively
- Degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc or equivalent) with a valid veterinary license
- Experience in rural healthcare and animal welfare initiatives is an advantage
