Role Description The Veterinary Doctor role at MaxPetZ is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The Veterinary Doctor will perform clinical examinations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide routine preventive care such as vaccinations and health check-ups. Responsibilities include performing minor procedures, monitoring patient recovery, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating follow-up care. The role requires regular communication with pet caregivers to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and home-care instructions in a clear, empathetic manner. The Veterinary Doctor will collaborate with veterinary assistants and support staff, adhere to clinical protocols, contribute to continuous improvement of medical standards, and support a safe, hygienic clinical environment.
Qualifications

• Relevant veterinary medical education (e.g., BVSc or equivalent) and current license or eligibility to practice veterinary medicine.
• Clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, and routine procedures for companion animals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to counsel pet caregivers, explain medical information, and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Ability to maintain detailed medical records, follow clinical protocols, and uphold high standards of animal welfare and safety.
• Comfort with using veterinary practice management systems and basic digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, manage multiple cases, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Prior experience in small-animal practice, emergency care, or specialty clinics is an advantage.
