The SkinVet is a first of its kind veterinary dermatology specialist service in Mumbai by Dr. Diu Somani. At the SkinVet, we are dedicated to dealing with skin diseases in animals by doing a comprehensive case workup & providing a holistic treatment plan.

Role Description & Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinarian at The SkinVet Clinic at Worli, Mumbai. The Veterinarian will be responsible for taking a full history, carrying out diagnostic tests & coming up with a holistic treatment plan for skin conditions (dermatopathies) in animals, as well as communicating effectively with clients, writing up prescriptions systematically & maintaining good work ethics.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Licensure as a veterinarian
• Experience & interest in diagnosing and treating various skin diseases in animals
• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and animal behaviour
• Knowledge of various oral & topical drugs used in vet dermatology as well as their doses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Compassion and empathy for animals
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina to handle and restrain animals
• Experience with exotic animals is a plus (not mandatory)
