Job Purpose: Vertical Security Head is responsible for implementing and overseeing the security strategy within a specific vertical, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and operations unique to that area. This role involves executing security initiatives that align with the overall objectives set by the Cluster and Regional Security Heads, fostering a culture of safety and vigilance throughout the vertical. By conducting thorough security performance assessments and incident management, the Vertical Security Head aims to mitigate risks, enhance compliance with security protocols, and ensure the continuity of operations. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding organizational assets while maintaining high standards of safety and legal compliance.
Responsibilities
Vertical Security Oversight and Strategic Implementation:
Ensure Implementation of security strategy as per Group security Guidelines & Business Requirements set forth by the Cluster and Regional Security Heads, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
Drive the execution of security initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the vertical, working closely with CEO, GCSO, all HODs & relevant stakeholders to foster a culture of security awareness and operational excellence.
Operational Excellence And Security Protocol Adherence
Oversee daily security operations within the vertical, ensuring that all security personnel adhere to established SOPs & SMPs and best practices.
Regularly monitor and review security performance metrics specific to the vertical, implementing corrective measures as necessary to address compliance gaps or operational challenges.
Budget Management And Financial Oversight
Collaborate with the Cluster Security Head and Regional Security Head to develop and manage the vertical-specific security budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
Validate and verify expenditures related to Quaterly security operations and initiatives within the vertical, facilitating timely processing of vendor payments as per approved Group Security MSA.
Team Development And Capacity Building
Mentor and train Regional/Cluster Security Heads / PSHs within the vertical to enhance their skills and capabilities to mitigate security risks.
Collaborate with the Regional Security Head to identify training needs of Cluster Security Heads / PSHs and develop targeted training programs that address specific vulnerabilities and operational requirements within the vertical.
Stakeholder Engagement And Communication
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including O&M & Projects Team, to ensure seamless coordination of security efforts within the vertical.
Generate and disseminate management information system (MIS) reports specific to the vertical's security performance, incidents and initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
Incident Management And Crisis Response
Esure proper & timely investigations of security incidents by repective Regional/Cluster/PSHs within the vertical, timely submission of reports along with recommendations & LFIs to prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with the Regional Security Head to develop and implement vertical-specific crisis management and disaster response plans to ensure business continuity.
Process Improvement And Technology Integration
Continuously assess security processes within the vertical to identify areas for improvement and implement technology-enabled solutions (Subject to Budgetory allocation from Business) that enhance operational efficiency.
Stay informed about advancements in security technology and best practices to ensure that the vertical's security operations remain cutting-edge and effective (Subject to Budgetory allocation from Business).
Legal Compliance And Risk Mitigation
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements specific to the vertical's security operations, reporting any issues to the Regional Security Heads.
Conduct regular risk assessments & Audits to identify vulnerabilities within the vertical and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential security threats.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Graduation/Postgraduate degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additional certifications in security management or related fields are preferred (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP)).
Work Experience
15+ years of experience in security management, with a focus on operational and administrative responsibilities.
A mandatory 1-year tenure as Plant, Cluster, or Regional Security Head in Adani or a previous organization is required before assuming the role of Vertical Security Head.
Proven track record in managing security operations, vendor management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder engagement within the renewable energy or related sectors.
