Vertex Consultant

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Vertex Tax solutions (Vertex O Series preferred).
• Strong experience in Vertex configuration, implementation, installation, upgrades, patching, and production support.
• Experience validating tax calculations, tax reporting, and ensuring audit/compliance readiness after system changes.
• Solid understanding of U.S. Indirect Tax (Sales & Use Tax) processes and tax determination logic.
• Hands-on experience integrating Vertex with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience troubleshooting Vertex-SAP interfaces and tax-related transaction issues.
• Knowledge of change management, testing, deployment, and release validation activities.
• Experience supporting tax automation and system enhancement initiatives.

Preferred

• Finance/Tax domain background.
• Experience with Vertex upgrades, environment migrations, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, and tax compliance reporting.
