What We're Building
Future School is a new category in Indian education. We're an after-school career foundation programme for students in Grades 8–12 - and we sit in a space no one else occupies, between the diagnosis of career counsellors and the exam focus of coaching centres.
Career counsellors tell a child what they're suited for, then stop. Coaching centres push every child through the same exam funnel, ignoring the person behind it. Both leave a gap. We fill it.
We take a student the whole way: an AI psychometric assessment that identifies the career areas they're naturally suited for, a personalised skill roadmap that evolves as they grow, experiential in-centre learning (debates, projects, simulations - not lectures), and a parent app that tracks every milestone quarterly. Foundation in Grades 8–10, targeted exam prep in 11–12, built on real skills instead of cramming.
This isn't a polished, finished business looking for a manager. It's an early-stage venture looking for someone to help build it from the ground up.
The role
You'll be a founding Venture Partner - owning the build, not just executing someone else's plan. Depending on your strengths, that could mean shaping the programme and curriculum, standing up the first centre, designing the go-to-market for Pune's upper-middle-class families, building the early team, or all of the above. The scope is wide because the company is young. You'll do whatever the venture needs at the stage it's at.
This is hands-on. You'll be in the room with the first cohort of students and parents, learning what works and rebuilding what doesn't.
Who we're looking for
The single most important trait:
a genuine drive to build a business from scratch. Not advise on one, not join an established one - build one. If the ambiguity of an early venture energises you rather than unsettles you, keep reading.
Beyond That, We're Looking For Someone Who
- Thinks like an owner and moves like an operator - comfortable going from blank page to working system
- Believes deeply in what education should be, and is impatient with what it currently is
- Can hold a long-term vision and still do the unglamorous early work
- Builds trust easily with parents and students, and can sell a genuinely new idea to a sceptical market
A strong plus: prior experience in career counselling, or teaching / mentoring students in the 13–18 age group. If you've worked closely with this age group and understand what actually moves them - and what moves their parents - that's a real edge.
Benefits And Perks
Let's be direct about this:
there is no fixed salary. This is an equity-linked role. You'll hold meaningful ownership in what you help build, and your upside is tied to the venture's success.
