Job Description

  • Quality Systems Development and Implementation:
  1. Work hand in hand with manufacturers to establish quality control processes, including incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final product testing at Vendor end to meet industry standards.
  2. Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
  • Product Quality Assurance:
  1. Conduct thorough quality audits and inspections to ensure product conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  2. Analyze quality data to identify trends and root causes of quality issues.
  3. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality problems and prevent recurrence.
  4. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Vendor Quality Management:
  1. Develop and manage Vendor quality programs, including supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and corrective action.
  2. Conduct Vendor audits to assess quality systems and capabilities.
  3. Ensure compliance with Vendor quality requirements.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  1. Guide and mentor, a team of quality assurance professionals of Vendors.
  2. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the quality knowledge and skills of the team.
  3. Foster a culture of quality excellence within the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  1. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., BIS, BEE, IEC).
  • New Product Development:
  1. Collaborate with the R&D team to define quality standards and test parameters for new products.
  2. Conduct pilot runs and quality assessments during the product development phase & Ensure smooth transition of new products into mass production.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  1. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects through applicable problem solving methodologies.
  2. Analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities.

List The Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regular inspection of inprocess / Finished goods as per Crompton Quality assurance plan and identifying gaps in manufacturing systems / quality systems and guiding/ monitoring the improvements for same.
  • Take corrective & preventive actions to eliminate the quality problems in the products through indepth analyses of data.
  • Product quality improvement projects design/ quality /process improvements projects.
  • Conduct regular audits - Process/ Product/ Layered/ VQP
  • Support NPD for N10, N100 and ensure documentation thereof.
  • Indepth analysis of quality issues in market / PPR analysis, market visits, identification of top defects, RCA, CAPA & effectiveness thereof.
  • Tracking of quality parameters internal as well as external, vendor wise, product category wise, identification of projects, handholding of vendors, regular reviews, etc
  • Implementation of Crompton systems/ policy's at vendors end. Regular Audits, identification & bridging the gaps.
  • Coordination with all stakeholders for highlighting and resolving issues proactively.
  • Support NPD at vendors and ensure all quality improvement actions are being taken care of.
  • Keep proper records / documentation as per Crompton quality system requirements
