We are seeking for the role of Senior Analyst, Vendor Management
In This Role You Will Be
Deal Initiation/Assurance & Financial Planning
- Maintain reports and MI to facilitate the planning process for Vendor contracts/renewals
Negotiation & Contracting
- Support in the production of data in order to prepare contracts
- Check contracts have represented the requirements of GCIO
- Facilitate the approvals of contracts.
Approvals & Execution
- Facilitation and ownership of the administration of the vendor financial management process
- Raising purchase orders on behalf of requestors post-ITCM approvals
- Receipting goods and services for purchase orders
- Creation of reports/dashboards for critical financial processes
- Raise TPS and manage workflow of TPS
- Raise PSR and manage procurement process
- Relationships with key stakeholders Finance, Business Managers, COO team, Procurement and Cost Management
- Update forecasts and manage budget/funding and workforce requirements.
- Submit and/or manage Purchase Orders
- Identify areas of process improvement within the vendor financial management process
Vendor Performance and Vendor Governance framework
- analysing and creating, where appropriate, measurement to ensure SLA adherence and continuous improvement of the Vendors performance (and reviewed in governance forums)
- Arranging vendor governance forums and ensuring attendance, materials are prepared and follow up actions/improvements delivered
Oversight of Third-Party Engagement Management (TPEM) tasks completion, vendor performance, and all associated risk management
Essential Candidate Requirements (experience, Skills, Competencies Etc.)
- Proven track record in technology vendor management role within the financial services industry, preferably within multinational banks
- An understanding of Technology operational management requirements for banks and knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
- Experience of operating within a complex matrix environment
- Financial and commercial awareness
- Demonstrable experience in driving vendor performance, delivering service improvement plans and managing vendors across all contract types (T&M, Manage Services, hardware and software)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes
- Organised with an ability to manage a large volume of tasks
- Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
- Knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
