Description

We are seeking a Vendor Development Engineer / Manager with extensive experience in managing and developing relationships with vendors and suppliers, specifically targeting Mahindra and Tata customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, specifically for Mahindra and Tata customers.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and vendor capabilities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of vendors to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for vendor management and development.
• Provide training and support to vendors to enhance their capabilities and performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5-15 years of experience in vendor development, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong understanding of vendor evaluation and selection processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management and vendor management software.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on vendor performance metrics.
• Familiarity with quality standards and compliance requirements in the automotive industry.
