Job Description
Purpose and scope-
Performs vendor contracting activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. Vendor Oversight & Relationship (VOR) Relationship Manager, Functional vendor managers, Procurement and Global Contract Office (GCO), local Legal/Procurement support) and the vendor stakeholders.
Writes/updates Exhibit A (descriptions of services) of RAPV vendor contracts with support from the Functional Vendor Manager and Vendor Oversight & Relationship (VOR) Relationship Manager.
Coordinates and tracks the review process for all RAPV vendor contracts activities and flags delays.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Ensures Exhibit A language is compliant with international Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs regulatory requirements and inspection ready.
Analyse vendor pricing structures and collaborate with Procurement and the vendor manager to identify areas for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
Collaborate with Procurement teams to incorporate cost-saving clauses and performance-based incentives into contracts
Contributes to the contract management process to ensure that RAPV vendor contracts are created/revised and executed on time.
Works in the Astellas Ariba system to track contract activities.
Facilitate reminders to stakeholders to complete their contract-related action items.
Schedules required meetings, as appropriate, with internal and external stakeholders.
Capable of processing unplanned/ad-hoc updates
Provide support with additional ad-hoc activities identified by the BPM and VOR teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum BA/BS degree
Minimum of 6 years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry,
Minimum 4 Years Significant Experience In Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs.
including establishing standards and metrics in support of quality systems.
Contract writing and management experience e.g. PV agreements, vendor contracts.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Understanding of contract law and legal terminology, with ability to generate and interpret complex contract language.
Negotiations and communication skills for effective interactions with vendor (supplier) and internal teams.
Significant and demonstrable working knowledge of pharmacovigilance and data privacy regulations guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management skills.
Advanced MS Word and Excel skills (cost costing models),
Experience working with Ariba.
Understanding of contract compliance and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs
