Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for Vehicle Crash Analyst. A Crash Analyst will be responsible for developing, simulating, and validating vehicle crashworthiness performance across multiple crash modes. The role involves using LS-DYNA and related CAE tools to evaluate energy absorption, structural integrity, and safety compliance. The analyst will participate in end-to-end safety development cycles, ensuring virtual and physical test correlation and adherence to global automotive safety standards.

Educational Qualifications

BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering

PhDs/Postdoc Research Fellows are welcome to apply. The experience range will be adjusted based on the research experience.

Experience Range- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

Mandatory Technical Skillset

  • Proficiency in LS-Dyna in crashworthiness simulations.
  • Proficiency in using ANSA for pre/postprocessing
  • Experience in correlating test data with simulation results
  • Strong understanding of energy absorption, load paths and structural crash behaviour
  • Knowledge of crash-related design principles and understanding of material dynamics
  • Familiarity with automotive crashworthiness standards

Good to have Technical Skills

  • Experience across entire vehicle development lifecycle
  • Experience of working in projects involving advanced or non-standard materials

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and define structural sections, load paths, and energy absorption mechanisms for front, side, rear, and roof crash modes.
  • Conduct crashworthiness simulations using LS-DYNA, accurately modeling failure patterns and impact behavior.
  • Correlate virtual crash simulations to physical test results; provide sign-off for virtual performance with detailed documentation.
  • Be a team player and work well with a diverse team which may be spread all over the world through strong and clear communication.
  • Research on how to implement various requirements and make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Take active part in weekly review meetings and put forth ideas or solutions to problems.
