Key Responsibilities
- Support the Vehicle Systems and Controls team in the end to end design and development of control systems and algorithm frameworks
- Conduct Model-in-Loop tests to ensure compliance of control systems to design targets
- Analyze the interaction of control systems and support in the development of vehicle level testing requirements
- Carry out system level validation and testing of mechanical and electrical systems (e.g. Motors, Battery Pack, Sensors etc.)
- Conduct analysis of testing data to study system performance, capture dynamics and catch faults in systems
- Assist in the development and maintenance of control system documentation such as DFMEAs and DVPs
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical//Electrical/Electronics/Automotive Engineering or Physics majors
- Overall 3 to 7 years of working experience as Vehicle Controls Engineer
- Good understanding of dynamics of mechanical and electrical systems and control systems
- Adept at using MATLAB and Simulink
- Knowledge of embedded coding is a plus
- Ability to conduct data analysis and pattern recognition using statistical tools
- Formula Student/SAE Baja or similar collegiate automotive engineering design competition experience is a plus
- A passion for all things automotive
