Role Overview
Primebook is building a large-scale Cloud PC platform (Windows & Linux) tightly integrated with its Android-based laptops. We are looking for a VDI Solutions Architect to take end-to-end ownership of Cloud PC execution across product, infrastructure, customer solutioning, and enterprise deployments.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role, transitioning Cloud PC responsibility from founder-led execution to a dedicated technical owner.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud PC Platform Ownership
- Own end-to-end delivery of Windows and Linux Cloud PCs
- Optimize Windows images, APIs, and streaming/RDP performance in collaboration with infrastructure partners
- Stabilize Linux container-based Cloud PC environments (audio, storage, virtualization, display issues)
- Own the PrimeX Cloud PC application production pipeline (Windows & Linux)
- Manage GPU provisioning and capacity planning with infrastructure partners
- Define and manage VM/container lifecycle logic, including:
-> Create, pause, resume, and delete workflows
-> Billing accuracy and edge-case handling
Incident Management & Escalation
- Act as the primary escalation owner for Cloud PC-related issues
- Track and resolve customer issues via internal teams and external partners
B2C Customer Feedback & Retention
- Conduct structured feedback calls with Cloud PC users
- Gather insights on:
-> Use cases and workflows
-> Performance and reliability
-> Pricing perception
-> Repurchase intent
-> Loading speed and experience
-> Product improvements
-> Infrastructure optimizations
-> Pricing and plan updates
B2B Discovery & Solutioning
- Lead discovery calls with businesses and institutions
- Understand customer environments including workflows, applications, security requirements, and usage patterns
- Design Cloud PC solutions based on:
-> Windows vs Linux environments
-> Pooled vs dedicated desktops
-> Authentication (Local / Active Directory)
-> Data loss prevention (DLP) requirements
-> Network and group policy needs
- Build and deploy Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Ensure POCs are technically stable, scalable, and commercially viable
Pricing, Costing & Unit Economics
- Own cloud infrastructure costing (OCI or equivalent platforms)
- Track and optimize compute, GPU, storage, and bandwidth costs
- Validate Cloud PC plans against actual infrastructure economics
- Propose pricing, pooling, and architecture optimizations
- Identify and flag offerings that are not viable at scale
OS-Level Growth Support
- Partner with OS and growth teams to improve Cloud PC discovery and conversion
- Ensure infrastructure and platform decisions support acquisition and growth initiatives
Requirements:
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of VDI / DaaS architectures
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with virtual machines, containers, and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to debug OS-level, performance, and streaming issues
- Strong grasp of infrastructure scalability and cost trade-offs
Customer & Business Skills
- Comfortable interacting directly with end users, IT administrators, and business stakeholders
- Experience running discovery calls and translating requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to push back when Cloud PC is not the right fit for a use case
- Clear, structured, and professional communication skills
Experience
- 35 years of experience in VDI, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or solution architecture roles
- Experience working on cost-sensitive, production-scale systems is strongly preferred

- Mid-term: Head of Cloud PC / Cloud Systems
- Long-term: Platform-level ownership across Primebook's cloud services and enterprise deployments
