Senior Consultant
Description and Overview
The VCF Design and Deploy Senior Consultant will implement architectures defined by the VCF Architect, focusing on build, integration, and validation activities within customer environments. This is a tactical delivery role requiring strong technical skills and customer-facing professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure VCF 9 components (VCF Management Domain, vSAN, Workload domains, and NSX).
- Execute build plans, implement network/storage policies, and validate integration points.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, escalating as needed.
- Work alongside the Architect to align delivery with design specifications.
- Document configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures for customer handoff.
- Provide knowledge transfer and support customer teams during Day-1 and Day-2 activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years VMware delivery experience in professional services or consulting.
- Hands-on deployment of VCF 5x / 9x
- Strong technical skills in vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in customer-facing engagements.
- Experience with VCF Suite, VKS (formally TKG), or automation frameworks.
Certifications
- Preferred - VMware Certified Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator (2V0-17.25)
- Optional - VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25)
