Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Process Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in process engineering design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Power projects. The role involves developing process engineering deliverables, performing design calculations, preparing engineering documentation, and supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
Industry: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Chemical Processing
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with Heat & Material Balance (HMB).
- Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform process design calculations, including:
- Line sizing
- Safety Relief Valve (PSV) sizing
- Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve (PVRV) calculations
- Equipment sizing
- Pump sizing
- Separator sizing
- Prepare engineering deliverables such as:
- Equipment List
- Line List
- Tie-in List
- Utility Summary
- Operating Philosophy
- Control Philosophy
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Support process optimization and ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable industry codes.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Civil, and Electrical disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical discussions where required.
- Handle complete process engineering deliverables for multiple projects from concept through detailed engineering.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Process Engineering Design within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or Power industries.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment design.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Process calculations
- Equipment sizing
- Utility calculations
- Relief system design
- Process documentation
- Experience in executing complete process engineering deliverables for at least 2–3 engineering projects.
- Good understanding of international engineering standards and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
