Description
We are looking for a VAPT / Red Teaming Intern to join our security team. This role is ideal for freshers or entry-level candidates who are eager to learn about vulnerability assessment and penetration testing in a hands-on environment. As an intern, you will gain practical experience in identifying and exploiting security weaknesses in various systems and applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on various systems and applications.
- Participate in red teaming exercises to simulate real-world attacks and assess security posture.
- Collaborate with team members to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Document findings and prepare reports for stakeholders detailing vulnerabilities and suggested mitigations.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security configurations.
- Knowledge of security tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, and others.
- Understanding of web application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten).
- Ability to write scripts in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and enhance testing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to effectively document and present findings.
