Role Overview:
This position will be a part of the India Finance team and will collaborate closely with Finance teams across EMEA, APAC, and the USA. The individual will play a critical role in the development of the FP&A function to support the firm's growth. The main responsibilities include:
- Quarterly Valuations: Prepare and present fund-level quarterly valuations of real estate investments and debt securities.
- Valuation Project Preparation: Handle the preparation and review of fund valuation-related projects, including quarterly reporting, MTM Impact analysis, Net Debt Analysis, Solvency Analysis, etc.
- Trend and Variance Analysis: Analyze key trends, investigate unusual items, and provide variance analysis, offering detailed explanations to stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead and manage valuation-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing inquiries effectively.
- Quarterly Reporting: Oversee coordination and submission of quarterly reporting with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring the accuracy of data.
- Team Development: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Operational Efficiencies: Continuously seek ways to improve operational efficiencies and enhance reporting.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Handle special projects in support of the firm's businesses or new initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Educational Background: A Master's degree (Major/Minor) in Finance, Banking, or Mathematics is preferred.
- Financial Statement Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial statements.
- Valuation or Reporting Experience: Previous background in valuation or reporting is preferred.
- CFA Designation: Having a CFA designation and knowledge of derivatives is considered a plus.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with tools like Anaplan or Tableau is a plus.
- Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Time Management: Highly organized and able to prioritize deliverables while meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
