Job Description

  • Lead the planning and execution of product validation and reliability testing throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Develop test plans, validation strategies, and reliability metrics based on design specifications and usage conditions
  • Identify potential failure modes using tools such as FMEA and ensure mitigation through design and validation actions
  • Coordinate with design, test, manufacturing, and quality teams to define validation requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Analyze test data, generate reports, and provide recommendations for product improvements and design changes
  • Ensure validation activities comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage external test labs and suppliers for outsourced testing activities when required
  • Track validation progress, maintain documentation, and report status to stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead root cause analysis for failures found during validation and field usage, and drive corrective actions
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in reliability and validation engineering
