Job Description

This is a mid-senior level Quality, Validation & Reliability leadership role for Heat Pump products. From a Talent Acquisition perspective, the ideal candidate is not a design engineer, but someone who can take ownership of product quality, validation testing, supplier quality, certifications, and reliability improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Role Summary

The Validation & Reliability Lead will be responsible for ensuring that Heat Pump products:

  • Meet performance requirements
  • Pass validation and reliability testing
  • Comply with industry regulations
  • Maintain high field quality
  • Achieve cost and quality targets
  • Deliver strong supplier performance

The person acts as a bridge between R&D, Quality, Suppliers, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Customers.

Key Focus Areas

1. Product Validation & Reliability Testing (40%)

This is the primary responsibility.

The candidate should have experience in:

  • Validation planning
  • Reliability testing
  • Performance testing
  • Product qualification

Typical Tests

Thermal Testing

  • Heating efficiency
  • COP (Coefficient of Performance)
  • Temperature performance

Electrical Testing

  • Voltage fluctuation
  • Power consumption
  • Safety compliance

Reliability Testing

  • Endurance testing
  • Life cycle testing
  • Accelerated aging tests
  • Environmental testing

Expected Experience

  • Creating validation plans
  • Executing test protocols
  • Analysing test reports
  • Identifying failures
  • Corrective action implementation

2. Heat Pump Technical Knowledge (20%)

Must understand:

HVAC Knowledge

3. Supplier Quality & Vendor Development (15%)

The candidate should:

  • Evaluate suppliers
  • Conduct supplier audits
  • Improve supplier quality
  • Handle supplier complaints
  • Support PPAP approvals
