Summary:
The Validation Engineer will support transit engineering programs by planning, executing, and documenting validation activities across all project stages. This role ensures that systems, software, and integrated solutions meet stage-gate requirements, functional specifications, quality standards, and safety expectations prior to release and deployment in transit environments.
Responsibilities:
- Execute validation activities aligned to project lifecycle stages (concept, development, integration, qualification, and release).
- Validate systems against stage requirements, ensuring entry/exit criteria are met for each development phase.
- Perform system, subsystem, and component-level validation for software, hardware, and control systems.
- Support SIL, HIL, and lab-based testing for transit systems.
- Identify, log, track, and support resolution of defects and deviations identified during validation.
- Develop, review, and maintain validation documentation, including Validation Plans, Test Procedures & Test Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), Test Execution Records, and Validation Summary & Compliance Reports.
Requirements:
- 2&ndash5 years of experience in validation, verification, or test engineering.
- Experience working in stage-based or V-model development environments.
- Exposure to transit, rail, automotive, or other safety-critical systems preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent written documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Background in regulated or safety-critical environments.
