Responsibilities
- Assist in managing inventory and stock levels in the construction site store.
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods using computerized inventory management systems.
- Assist in organizing and arranging materials in the store to optimize space and accessibility.
- Issue materials and supplies to construction crews and subcontractors based on requisitions and work orders.
- Assist in conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols to safeguard store assets.
- Provide support to the storekeeper in generating reports and maintaining documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in a storekeeping or warehouse role, preferably in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures related to store operations.
