Job Overview

As a UI/UX Designer, you will work and enhance the user experience at ComplianceQuest. You'll teach and inspire team members about UX, having impact across ComplianceQuest. You will be responsible for turning concepts and business requirements into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and Solution Consultants throughout the design process. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.

The job of an UI / UX Designer is to envision how people experience our software and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and exciting. In this role, you'll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for people around the world—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help maintain company-wide UX style guide including standard guidelines and patterns to be used as standard practice for development of new features and improving existing functionality.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements, while considering accessibility.
  • Perform user experience research and usability studies, design reviews, and support other team-wide design efforts.
  • Own strategic design and user-experience decisions related to existing systems and new capabilities and features
  • Perform user research on new features and product development.
  • Ensure that ComplianceQuest customers and employees have an optimal user experience on all products, and devices.
  • Create mockups and interactive prototypes as part of new feature development
  • Stay current with technological developments related to the CQ application, as well as management practices which include:
  • Reading current releases documentation (SF and CQ)
  • Attending presentations, conferences and workshops, and meeting with colleagues;
  • Maintain current on all assigned internal CQ training as assigned in the CQ-QMS
  • Comply with all internal CQ Quality and Information Security requirements
  • All other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the software design process.
  • Experience creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and clickable prototypes.
  • Minimum 3 years of UI/UX design and development work experience.
  • Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision, or Balsamiq.
  • Passion for understanding and designing to users desires, needs, and goals.
  • Able to ideate from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process.
  • Experience with communicating and influencing product design strategy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms, such as desktop and mobile.
