UX / UI design

Work locations: Gurugram (Haryana) or Bengaluru (Karnataka)

Eligibility:

• Industry: 6+Yrs total (required), 2Yrs in Automotive OE/ Tier-1 (preferred)
• Education: B.Des/M.Des. (graphic, interaction, Visual Design, UX, Industrial Design, Product Design) or relevant Experience.

Preferred Industry Background:

• Mobility Products or Services/ Automotive
• Connected Car Services
• Location-Based Services/ Mapping

Roles:

• User Experience Assessment, User Scenario definitions, Problem Framing, Wireframing, Prototyping, User Boarding, Usability testing

Responsibilities:

• Neutrally represent the user in a project and during management deliberations
• Continuously evaluate prospect and user needs and industry trends and serve as a conduit to Product for Product development
• Travel to end-user sites and pilot/test locations to scout opportunities
• Develop new tools to make effective prototypes and closer to users/ use-cases
• Identify design shortfalls & User needs through user research
• Making design + UX proposals related to functions & features
• Delivering on project requirements & within target timelines
• Come up with UI and UX strategies based on our target goals
• Collaborate with other Depts. to utilise their domain expertise to ensure successful delivery on user needs & ultimately high levels of user satisfaction
• Define & describe an architecture of a solution in the context of a specific solution
• Compile & present User needs and solutioning to Management/ Leadership

End goal: Designing friction-free UX & engineering simple-to-use connected mobility solutions through digital (App) in combination with physical (in-car).

Competencies Required:

Required skills

• Experience in Solution Engineering and communicating complex user issues and use cases to development teams/ product departments
• Deep familiarity with both quantitative & qualitative research methods including AB testing, data analytics, and user research
• Familiarity and experience with agile development methodologies
• Experience analysing some unstructured information, knowledge of visualising, hands-on with Creative Prototyping tools
• Experience interpreting user insights into potential engineering opportunities
• Adequate skill in crafting original GUI mockups, storyboarding, user flows, freehand sketching, and low- to high-fidelity prototypes
• Curiosity about data-based decision-making and comfort working with data
• Basic understanding of Design Thinking
• Basic understanding of automotive systems

Desired skills

• Familiarity and experience with development tools (JIRA, Figma Suite experience in Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus)
• Willingness to travel
• Basic technical understanding of smartphone app development
• Experience conducting user research
• Experience with user-centred design methodologies
• Working knowledge of behavioural analysis
• Basic understanding of Controller Area Network protocol & Telematics system
