Role Purpose
Support the Digital & AI Centre of Excellence by managing day-to-day UX/UI delivery for digital initiatives where external design agencies are engaged. The role will coordinate design execution, track feedback and deliverables, support working-level design decisions, and ensure that outputs remain consistent with business inputs and approved design standards.
This is a hands-on UX/UI and design-system role, not a product ownership role. Senior stakeholder alignment and major decisions will be handled by the COE lead where required; this role is expected to run the daily design engine and reduce operational involvement from senior leadership.
Core Expectations
1. Manage day-to-day UX/UI delivery with design agencies
- Coordinate daily working interactions with external design agencies across active digital initiatives.
- Track design deliverables, feedback, dependencies, open points and approvals in a disciplined manner.
- Ensure business inputs and review comments are captured clearly and passed to the agency without ambiguity.
- Maintain regular cadence on design work and escalate only key decision points, risks or delays.
2. Support UX/UI quality, consistency and design handoff
- Review wireframes, prototypes, screen flows and UI designs for completeness, usability and consistency.
- Identify working-level design gaps such as missing states, unclear navigation, inconsistent layouts or incomplete interactions.
- Ensure feedback is incorporated correctly before designs move to technology teams.
- Support clear design handoff by clarifying UI behavior, layout expectations and screen-level details.
3. Maintain the design system and front-end references
- Maintain design-system references, reusable UI components, style guidelines and interaction patterns.
- Make hands-on updates to HTML, CSS and JavaScript-based design-system assets where required.
- Ensure agency-led designs follow reusable patterns, visual standards and approved component usage.
- Keep design files, component references and documentation organized, current and easy to reuse.
Required Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in UX/UI design coordination, design operations, digital design delivery or front-end UI support.
- Experience working with design agencies, UX teams, product teams or technology teams.
- Good understanding of user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, screen flows and design handoffs.
- Hands-on working knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript.
- Exposure to design systems, reusable UI components or front-end style guides will be preferred.
- Experience in financial services, enterprise applications or large digital platform work will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Good eye for layout, usability, consistency and interaction details.
- Ability to coordinate design work across agency, business and technology teams.
- Strong follow-up discipline with attention to feedback closure and open-point tracking.
- Working knowledge of front-end basics including HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Ability to maintain design-system documentation and component references.
- Clear communication and judgment on when to decide independently versus when to escalate.
Role Success Measures
- Design agency work moves smoothly with fewer day-to-day escalations to the COE lead.
- Design feedback, open points and approvals are tracked and closed in a timely manner.
- Screens, flows and journeys remain consistent across digital initiatives.
- Design-system assets remain current, usable and aligned to actual delivery needs.
- Technology teams receive clearer design handoffs with fewer gaps in UI behaviour or screen-level detail.
