Role Overview
This role is about becoming the closest person to the user inside the company, understanding not just what users do, but why they behave the way they do.
You will spend a significant amount of time talking to users, observing their actions, and identifying patterns that are not visible through data alone.
Your responsibility is to translate user behavior into actionable product decisions and act as the voice of the user across teams.
This is not a reporting role - you will directly influence product, UX, and growth decisions through your insights.
What You'll Own
User Discovery & Research
Conduct continuous user interviews, usability testing, and surveys to understand behavior across different user segments such as power users, new users, and churned users.
Go beyond surface-level feedback to uncover deeper motivations, pain points, and decision-making patterns.
Identify key issues such as drop-offs, confusion points, and unmet needs within the user journey.
Deliver clear, actionable insights that can directly influence product improvements, rather than just creating reports.
Product Thinking & UX Contribution
Work closely with product, design, and growth teams to translate user insights into practical product improvements.
Contribute to creating user flows, wireframes, and UX enhancements that simplify complex product experiences.
Actively participate in product decision-making by suggesting solutions grounded in user behavior.
Help improve clarity, usability, and engagement across the entire user journey.
Voice of User System
Build structured systems to continuously capture and distribute user insights across the organization.
Create and maintain feedback loops, insight dashboards, and real user personas based on actual behavior.
Ensure user insights are consistently brought into product discussions, roadmap planning, and strategy conversations.
Make user understanding accessible and actionable for all teams, not just limited to research.
What Success Looks Like (First 3 Months)
You develop a deep understanding of user behavior across the platform, often becoming the go-to person for user insights.
You are able to clearly identify where users drop off, what confuses them, and what drives engagement.
Your insights start influencing real product and UX decisions, leading to measurable improvements.
