UX Design Director

UI/UX Web Director (WordPress + Project Management)

Overview

We're looking for a senior-level UI/UX Web Director to lead the design and user

experience strategy for our web ecosystem. This role will guide design direction,

ensure consistent UX standards, and manage site-wide projects, while

collaborating closely with a developer who will support in executing builds.

Core Responsibilities

UX & Design Leadership

• Define UX principles and ensure consistent user journeys across the site.

• Provide design guidance to the developer for implementation in

WordPress.

• Maintain accessible, brand-compliant designs aligned with WCAG

standards.

Design Execution

• Create scalable and reusable page templates (e.g., events, case studies,

insights, and campaigns).

• Design custom landing pages and micro-experiences.

• Provide graphic design support (image creation, curation, optimization)

using stock images, icons, and AI-generated imagery.

• Document design standards in a design system and component library.

Technical & CMS Expertise

• Strong proficiency in WordPress (theme customization, template hierarchy,

responsive design).

• Familiarity with HubSpot for marketing integrations (a plus).

• Ability to write and refine CSS for styling and responsive improvements.

Project Management

• Oversee web projects from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and

quality.

• Coordinate with UX, content, development, and marketing teams.

• Manage workflows and prioritize tasks using PM tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in UX/UI design with web focus; 3+ years in project management.

• Expertise in WordPress; HubSpot experience a plus.

• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).

• Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles.

• Experience with project management tools; Asana experience a plus

• Strong interest and familiarity with AI tools for content creation, image

generation, and coding.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
