Utility Dept - Sewer Technician

JOB TITLE: Sewer Technician

DEPARTMENT: Utilities - Water Operations

REPORTS TO:Utility Director/Deputy Director of Operations

FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

Performs work related to accomplishing various Utilities projects within the City by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• scheduling and maintaining the cleaning of city sewer mains
• testing of sinkholes for breakdowns using sewer camera, dye or other means
• determining city sewer problems from customer sewer problems
• trouble-shooting, repairing and maintaining lift stations
• maintaining service trucks and equipment
• responding to after-hours calls as necessary
  
  

Qualifications

Class A or B CDL 1+ years of experience preferred

Miscellaneous Information

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
