Global Consulting Services - Metrics & Value - Specialist Assistant ManagerAbout the Team
Global Consulting Services (GCS) works across practices and geographies to support Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) and Technology & Transformation (T&T) businesses. The team enables Deloitte professionals and clients through globally consistent solutions for cross-cultural and cross-border challenges, leveraging leading-edge tools, methods, and resources while staying aligned to Deloitte's global brand and values.
Within GCS, the Delivery pillar empowers Member Firms and global teams to strengthen service delivery transformation, improve client delivery quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
Role Overview
The Ascend Enablement sub-pillar supports Member Firms in adopting Ascend and its components as they are rolled out globally. The Metrics & Value Specialist will develop reports and reporting solutions that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support automation initiatives. The role is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of business reporting through data issue troubleshooting, reporting tool maintenance, and workflow optimization.
Key ResponsibilitiesReport Development and Optimization
- Develop and maintain reports to support the operational and strategic needs of the Ascend program.
- Streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support automation initiatives to enhance reporting workflows and reduce errors.
Data Accuracy and Troubleshooting
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of business reporting by identifying, analyzing, and resolving data issues.
- Conduct regular quality checks on reporting tools and workflows to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with data owners and technical teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure consistent reporting outputs.
Dashboard Development and Maintenance
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards to visualize key metrics, trends, and insights for stakeholders.
- Customize dashboards to meet the needs of different stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity and usability.
- Continuously improve dashboards by incorporating feedback and applying best practices in data visualization.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Enablement Leads, Member Firms, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on reporting best practices and alignment to program objectives.
- Provide training and support to stakeholders on reporting tools and dashboards.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and reporting processes through automation and innovative solutions.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in reporting and data visualization and apply relevant best practices.
- Document reporting processes and maintain organized repositories for tools and dashboards.
Skills and Capabilities
- Proven experience developing and maintaining reports and reporting solutions, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
- Strong consulting skills, including research, financial analysis, business writing, logical data structuring, and storyboarding.
- Strong technical expertise in Tableau and Power BI, including dashboard design, development, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and provide meaningful insights.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools, with experience in automation and workflow optimization.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and ability to create user-friendly dashboards for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and a strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Demonstrated success in streamlining reporting processes and implementing automation solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting data issues and maintaining reporting tools in a complex organizational environment.
- Familiarity with reporting requirements and workflows in a global or matrixed organization, preferably within a transformation program such as Ascend.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong track record in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence roles.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across small and large projects.
- Experience working with stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Location and Work Model
- Location: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, or Mumbai
- Work Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with flexibility to support global time zones
- Work Model: Hybrid; expected to work from the base office location at least 2 days per week in line with the hybrid plan
