Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a User Experience Researcher based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys. They will analyze data to derive actionable insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform design and development strategies, and advocate for user-centric methodologies throughout the product design lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute user research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods
- Conduct interviews, usability tests, surveys, diary studies, and field research
- Identify user needs, frustrations, motivations, and behavior patterns
- Translate research findings into clear insights, personas, journey maps, and recommendations
- Support product discovery, concept testing, and experience improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and analysts
- Help build a research-driven product culture through regular insight sharing
- Manage research repositories, documentation, and best practices
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of experience in UX Research, User Research, Consumer Insights, or Human-Centered Design
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in User Research and UX Research techniques, including usability testing, surveys, and user interviews.
- Strong moderation, interviewing, and synthesis skills
- Ability to convert research findings into practical design recommendations
- Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills
Preferred
- Knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience working with usability tools such as UserTesting, Maze, Dovetail, Qualtrics, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with design tools and user experience software is a plus.
- Experience working with UX designers and agile product teams
- Understanding of Indian user behavior across diverse customer segments
- Exposure to accessibility and inclusive design research
