As we expand into the Smart Home ecosystem, we are designing a new generation of connected devices and digital experiences that blend security, intelligence, and design.

From smart locks and video doorbells to automation hubs and sensors — our goal is to make homes that think, sense, and respond beautifully.

As Team Lead – UX/UI, you will lead a multidisciplinary design team to define and deliver the end-to-end user experience across our smart home ecosystem — spanning mobile apps, tablet interfaces, and embedded touchscreens.

You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Industrial Design teams to create experiences that make complex IoT interactions simple, elegant, and human.

• Lead UX and UI design for all smart home products — mobile, web, and device interfaces.
• Define and maintain the Design System for the Mangoe ecosystem (patterns, components, accessibility, motion).
• Translate product strategy into wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs that balance usability and aesthetics.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and journey mapping to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with firmware, app, and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration between digital and physical touchpoints.
• Coach and mentor designers, fostering a strong design culture within the organization.
• Partner with marketing and brand teams to maintain visual consistency and storytelling across digital touchpoints.
• Advocate for design thinking and user empathy across product development processes.
  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or related field.
• 8+ years of UX/UI experience in consumer tech, IoT, or mobile products — with at least 2+ years in a lead or managerial role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX flows, prototypes, and visual design for mobile or IoT experiences.
• Mastery of design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, After Effects, Miro, etc.) and modern prototyping frameworks.
• Deep understanding of user psychology, usability heuristics, and interaction models.
• Experience designing for ecosystem products — multi-device interactions, onboarding flows, automation setup, etc.
• Working knowledge of responsive design, design tokens, accessibility (WCAG), and micro-interactions.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams — product, engineering, industrial design, and QA.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a design-led mindset.

Bonus Attributes:

• Experience designing for Matter or IoT ecosystems (multi-controller interfaces, device onboarding, home automation).
• Understanding of embedded UI/UX for devices (touch panels, displays, control hubs).
• Familiarity with motion design, iconography, and brand systems.
