Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented USA Tax Trainee to join our growing tax and accounting team. This training program is designed for candidates who want hands-on experience in US taxation, bookkeeping, and accounting practices. The trainee will work closely with senior tax professionals and gain practical exposure to US tax filing, IRS compliance, and client handling.

Training Duration: 12 Months

Extension: Further extendable based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

US Taxation Support:

  • Assist in preparing individual tax returns (Form 1040, 1040NR)
  • Assist in preparing business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065)
  • Collect and organize client tax documents
  • Support senior tax professionals in tax research and compliance work
  • Help in identifying deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
  • Assist with amended returns and IRS notices

Bookkeeping and Accounting Support:

  • Assist with bookkeeping using QuickBooks or Xero
  • Maintain financial records and reconciliations
  • Support preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
  • Assist in financial reporting and data entry tasks

Business Filings and Compliance:

  • Support entity formation processes (LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp)
  • Assist with EIN applications and BOI filings
  • Help maintain compliance records and annual filings
  • Assist with state compliance documentation

Client Coordination:

  • Communicate with clients through emails and calls when required
  • Follow up for pending documents and information
  • Maintain organized client records and documentation
  • Support the team in day-to-day client management activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Basic understanding of US Taxation and Accounting concepts
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in US Tax domain
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of US tax forms and IRS processes
  • Basic experience with QuickBooks, TaxAct, Drake, or similar software
  • Internship or training experience in accounting or taxation

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of US tax compliance
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
