USA PAYROLL ANALYST

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist with extensive end-to-end U.S. payroll processing experience, including year-end activities (W-2, W-2C), payroll tax management, tax notices, and tax reconciliations. Experience supporting Brazil and Argentina payrolls is a strong advantage.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and the capability to manage multi-country payroll processes with accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

U.S. Payroll (Primary Scope)

• Perform end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state U.S. employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs.
• Manage year-end payroll activities, including preparation, review, and distribution of W-2s, W-2Cs, and other required statements.
• Handle federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including filings, reconciliations, and payments.
• Research, respond to, and resolve tax notices and discrepancies from government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, state labor laws, and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, audit trails, and documentation.
• Experience payroll operations for Brazil and Argentina, coordinating with vendors and ensuring compliance with local legislation.
• Review vendor payroll outputs, ensuring accuracy in tax calculations, statutory benefits, social security, severance, and other local obligations.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, year-end reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of hands-on U.S. payroll processing experience.
• Strong expertise in W-2, W-2C, year-end processing, and payroll tax filings.
• Proven experience resolving tax notices and conducting tax reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of payroll laws, compliance, and multi-state taxation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with major payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, SAP, Oracle, Ceridian, etc.).
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred

• Experience processing or supporting Brazil and Argentina payrolls.
