- Prepare and review complex Form 1040 returns including all supporting schedules
- Handle income types such as wages, self-employment, investments, rentals, K-1s, capital gains, stock compensation (RSU/ESOP), etc.
- Review returns prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness
2. Foreign Reporting & International Compliance
- Prepare and review:
- FBAR (FinCEN Form 114)
- Form 8938 (FATCA reporting)
- Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit)
- Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income Exclusion)
- PFIC reporting (Form 8621)
- Form 5471 (Controlled Foreign Corporations)
- Form 8865 (Foreign Partnerships)
- Form 5472 (Foreign-owned US entities – individual involvement where applicable)
- Analyze foreign income, treaty positions, and cross-border tax implications
3. Technical Review & Research
- Perform detailed technical reviews ensuring compliance with IRS regulations
- Research complex tax issues including residency, sourcing rules, and foreign credits
- Apply tax treaty provisions where applicable
4. Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients for missing information and clarifications
- Provide basic advisory insights on tax positions and planning opportunities
5. Team Management
- Review and guide junior preparers
- Provide feedback and training to improve quality and efficiency
6. Compliance & Deadlines
- Ensure timely filing of returns, extensions, and estimates
- Maintain proper documentation and workpapers

Qualifications
- CA / CPA / EA or equivalent
