US Payroll Manager
Location: Hyderabad, India (100% Onsite)

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and compliance-focused US Payroll Manager who will take full ownership of US payroll processing and statutory tax compliance. The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero penalties, zero delays, and full regulatory compliance across all payroll-related activities.
The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience with US payroll systems (ADP mandatory), in-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and minimum wage laws, and proven experience coordinating with payroll service providers and government agencies. Experience handling payroll for Canada, the UK, and India will be considered an advantage; however, the core focus remains on US payroll compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end US payroll processing with a strong focus on compliance and audit readiness.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all payroll tax filings.
- Monitor payroll deadlines and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Manage payroll operations using ADP Payroll and coordinate with ADP/Paychex for tax submissions and reporting.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, payroll vendors, and government agencies.
- Track changes in US payroll laws, tax regulations, and minimum wage requirements and implement updates accordingly.
- Maintain payroll compliance documentation, statutory records, and audit reports.
- Identify and mitigate payroll compliance risks proactively.
- Conduct internal payroll audits and resolve discrepancies to prevent penalties.
- Prepare compliance reports, tax summaries, and payroll analytics for senior management.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and transparency.
Must Have
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing US payroll with strong compliance responsibility.
- Proven track record of on-time tax filings with zero penalties or compliance issues.
- Mandatory expertise in ADP payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of US federal and state payroll tax laws and minimum wage regulations.
- Experience handling multi-state US payroll compliance.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating payroll activities with government authorities and payroll vendors.
