Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a US Mortgage Underwriter, located in Chennai. The role involves evaluating mortgage loan applications, assessing financial documents, verifying information for accuracy, and analyzing potential credit risks. The underwriter will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure loans meet company and regulatory standards, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with applicable guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mortgage Industry, Mortgage Underwriting, and Mortgages
- Strong understanding of Underwriting processes and best practices
- Developed Analytical Skills for evaluating credit risk and decision-making
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and lending guidelines
- Proficiency in relevant underwriting software and tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred
