About the Role
We are seeking an Attorney (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on legal research, case analysis, regulatory interpretation, compliance review, contract analysis, and legal reasoning.
In this role, you will review and evaluate AI-generated legal outputs, assess legal arguments and analyses, and provide domain expertise to improve AI systems used for legal intelligence, document review, compliance workflows, and legal research.
Your expertise will help ensure that AI-generated legal content is accurate, logically sound, and aligned with applicable legal principles and regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common legal matters and professional scenarios within your area of expertise
- Review and evaluate AI-generated legal research, legal memoranda, case analyses, and legal documentation
- Assess AI outputs for legal accuracy, logical reasoning, completeness, consistency, and quality
- Analyze contracts, agreements, policies, regulatory materials, and legal documents
- Identify legal risks, factual inaccuracies, reasoning gaps, compliance issues, and interpretation errors in AI-generated content
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in legal workflows
- Support projects involving legal research, litigation support, compliance review, contract interpretation, and regulatory analysis
- Review peer-developed deliverables to ensure quality and consistency
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on legal reasoning and legal intelligence
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD), LL.B., or equivalent legal qualification
- Active Bar membership or prior qualification to practice law in the United States, India, or another recognized jurisdiction is preferred
- 3+ years of experience as an Attorney, Lawyer, Legal Counsel, Advocate, or related legal professional
- Experience working with law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, or regulatory bodies
- Strong understanding of legal research, legal writing, statutory interpretation, case law analysis, and legal reasoning
- Experience reviewing contracts, legal agreements, compliance materials, and regulatory documentation
- Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written English communication skills
- Ability to critically evaluate complex legal content and identify inconsistencies or reasoning issues
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate law, commercial law, litigation, employment law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, data privacy, or related practice areas
- Exposure to US, UK, Indian, or international legal frameworks
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, Practical Law, SCC Online, or Manupatra
- Experience with legal technology, AI-assisted legal research, or document review platforms is a plus
- Prior experience reviewing legal content, legal analyses, or research deliverables is advantageous
