Job Title: US Indirect Tax Analyst – Sales & Use Tax

Job Summary:

We are looking for a US Indirect Tax Analyst with hands-on experience in US Sales & Use Tax compliance. The candidate will be responsible for multi-state tax compliance, tax return preparation, reconciliations, tax research, and supporting indirect tax-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file US Sales & Use Tax returns across multiple states.
• Handle multi-state tax compliance and ensure timely filing and payments.
• Perform tax reconciliations and validate tax data for accurate reporting.
• Support economic nexus analysis and state registration requirements.
• Manage and review exemption certificates and tax documentation.
• Research US state and local indirect tax rules and regulations.
• Handle tax notices and support resolution of tax-related queries.
• Coordinate with US clients/internal teams regarding tax compliance requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and implement process improvements to improve filing accuracy.
• Work with tax technology/software such as Vertex, Avalara, or similar platforms.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Taxation, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in US Indirect Tax / Sales & Use Tax.
• Experience with multi-state US tax compliance is preferred.
• Knowledge of Sales & Use Tax returns, reconciliations, nexus, and state/local taxation.
• Experience with Vertex or Avalara will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates with experience in US Direct Tax only (1040/1065/1120) will not be considered for this position.
