Job Description

Location: Remote (California / Pacific Standard Time alignment)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Compensation:

•Full-Time: 1,40,000 – 1,42,000 per month

•Part-Time: 70,000 – 71,000 per month

About the Role

We are seeking a sharp, highly analytical Electrical Estimator with strong end-to-end ownership to lead our cost estimation and bidding processes. In this role, you will not simply plug numbers into spreadsheets—you will take full ownership of bid opportunities across commercial tenant improvements (TI), ground-up builds, power distribution, and controls.

The ideal candidate has a deep technical command of electrical systems, understands construction sequencing and US building codes (NEC), and proactively identifies scope risks and value-engineering opportunities before bids are submitted.

Key Responsibilities

•End-to-End Bid Ownership: Review and analyze architectural, MEP, and electrical plan sets, specifications, and addenda to define complete project scopes, assumptions, and exclusions.

•Detailed Quantity Take-Offs: Perform precise digital quantity take-offs for electrical gear, power distribution, branch wiring, lighting, HVAC/BMS controls, and EV infrastructure.

•Cost Formulation: Build comprehensive labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates; solicit competitive vendor and subcontractor quotes.

•Scope & Risk Management: Identify constructability issues, code gaps, and potential project risks early; develop value-engineering alternatives to maximize bid competitiveness.

•Bid Deliverables & Handoffs: Prepare professional estimate summaries, cost breakdowns (BOQs), and proposal narratives. Lead post-bid handoffs and turnover reviews with project managers upon award.

•Database Maintenance: Continuously update unit pricing, labor productivity rates, historical cost records, and digital assembly databases.

What We Are Looking For

•Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.

•Experience: 3+ years of proven hands-on experience estimating commercial electrical construction and tenant improvement (TI) projects.

•Technical Mastery:

◦Thorough understanding of single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, power distribution, and controls.

◦Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard US construction practices (California/Title 24 familiarity is a strong plus).

•Software Proficiency:

◦Advanced proficiency with digital take-off and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, STACK, PlanSwift).

◦Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formula-driven bid sheets, data modeling).

•Mindset & Ownership: Self-driven, meticulous, and capable of operating independently with minimal oversight while defending estimates confidently to leadership.

•Communication: Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to coordinate clearly with vendors, general contractors, and project managers.

What We Offer

•Competitive monthly compensation with clear, reliable payment schedules.

•Direct collaboration with leadership on bid strategies and high-impact construction projects.

•A culture that rewards ownership, precision, and operational excellence.

  • •Long-term growth opportunities as our electrical division scales.
