Overview-:
As a content reviewer you will apply your subject matter expertise to perform a comprehensive review of instructional content, assessments, Java coding, and associated materials. You will ensure that content meets expectations for quality, accuracy, and adherence to editorial and writing style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carefully read and review all instructional materials, assessments, and associated guides to ensure factual accuracy, clarity, and alignment with US and AP curriculum objectives.
- Updating content review status using specified platforms and tools.
- Solve all assessment questions to confirm correctness, ensure tasks are solvable, and validate that Java code (where applicable) runs as intended.
- Make necessary revisions for content quality, coherence, and error-free presentationincluding checking for correct labeling, linking, and the presence of all required materials.
- Provide clear, kind, and actionable feedback to the client, raise queries for conflicting content, and participate in meetings to share insights and updates.
- Follow review guidelines and checklists, conduct two rounds of thorough review plus a final comment-clearing pass, and provide developmental editing when needed.
- Identify and correct factual, conceptual, pedagogical, and formatting errors in instructional materials (lessons, activities, questions, and assessments).
- Ensure accuracy, age-appropriateness, and clarity across subject-specific content for grades K12.
- Maintain consistency in tone, instructional language, and scaffolding according to student grade levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams for feedback implementation and content improvement.
- Address reviewer/client feedback and make necessary revisions within deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject area (Science, Math, English Language, Social Studies, or Computer Science), K-12 education, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 or more years of experience developing standard-aligned content and assessments in a 1st-12th-grade academic or publishing environment.
- Minimum five years of classroom teaching experience, along with strong reviewing and proofreading skills.
- Strong grasp of US K12 curriculum standards and AP frameworks.
- Excellent command of written English and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow rubrics, content guidelines, and style manuals precisely.
- Comfortable working independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience collaborating with virtual or offshore teams is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours independently, with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with US-based EdTech or K12 curriculum projects.
- Strong Java programming skills, including the ability to debug code effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, results-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with effective task prioritization.
- Strong analytical thinking and flexibility in solving complex issues.
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), project management tools, and online meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet.
