USA Tax Gurus LLC is a fast-growing remote US Tax & Accounting firm specializing in business taxation and individual tax preparation, international tax compliance, expat filings, tax planning, bookkeeping and advisory services for entrepreneurs and growing businesses worldwide. We are looking for an experienced US Business Tax Manager to join our team and work directly with firm leadership on complex tax engagements and client advisory.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced CPA and/or EA with strong US business tax expertise and prior tax return signing experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable independently handling US clients, reviewing and signing complex business tax returns, mentoring junior staff, and improving internal processes.

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in US business taxation
• Minimum 3+ years of experience reviewing and signing US business tax returns
• Active CPA and/or EA license required
• Strong experience handling complex business and international tax matters
• In-depth understanding of tax regulations related to S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
• Prior experience managing client relationships independently

Key responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Review

• Review and sign US business tax returns including:
• Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065
• Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865
• FBAR, Form 8938, 1116, 8621, 1042, 1042-S and related filings
• Conduct technical tax research and resolve complex tax issues
• Ensure filing accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to business clients
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance risks
• Advise clients on entity structure, distributions, international reporting, and operational tax considerations

Client Communication & Communication

• Work closely with the firm owner (Akhil Bansal, CPA) on client engagements
• Independently handle US client meetings, onboarding, project delivery, and ongoing communication
• Manage client expectations and provide a high level of service
• Availability during US morning hours (India evening hours, occasionally up to 12 AM IST) for client calls

Bookkeeping & Financial Oversight

• Review bookkeeping and financial reports prepared by junior staff
• Analyze financial statements and identify inconsistencies or tax-impacting issues
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required; experience with Wave is a plus

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

• Develop and improve internal workflows, checklists, and SOPs
• Train, mentor, and review work prepared by junior team members
• Help improve operational efficiency and delivery quality across engagements
