Experience: 3–5 Years in US Audit

Preferred Industry: US HUD / Affordable Housing

Location: Chennai (On-site)

Shift Timing: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Execute and manage audit engagements for HUD-regulated and affordable housing entities.
Perform audits in accordance with US GAAP, HUD requirements, and applicable auditing standards.
Handle audit procedures from planning through completion, including risk assessment, fieldwork, review, and reporting.
Perform substantive and control testing over key financial statement areas.
Review financial statements, supporting schedules, trial balances, and general ledger details.
Perform testing of cash, investments, receivables, payables, fixed assets, debt, revenue, expenses, and equity.
Perform audit procedures related to HUD programs, project-based entities, and multifamily housing engagements.
Review compliance with applicable HUD regulatory and reporting requirements.
Identify and document audit findings, control deficiencies, and financial statement issues.
Prepare and review audit workpapers, lead schedules, analytical procedures, and supporting documentation.
Perform analytical review and investigate significant variances and unusual transactions.
Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures.
Coordinate with US-based engagement teams and clients to obtain audit evidence and resolve audit queries.
Review work performed by Associates and provide guidance and feedback.
Track engagement status, budgets, and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
Participate in client meetings and communicate audit issues and status updates professionally.
Ensure audit documentation meets internal quality standards and applicable professional requirements.
