Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented US Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of US accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant US tax regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end closing procedures. The US Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting audit activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Perform comprehensive month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for various accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets).
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all US tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, identifying variances and trends, and providing insights to management.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and reporting.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities, contributing to financial planning.
  • Stay updated on changes in US GAAP and tax regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
