Job Description

Job Title: US Accounting Lead (US GAAP)

Location: Pune, India

CTC: ₹18 – ₹20 LPA

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented US Accounting Lead (CA) to manage accounting operations aligned with US GAAP standards. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, managing a team, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial insights. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with strong experience in US accounting and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end US accounting operations including General Ledger, Month-End Close, and Financial Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Handle audit requirements and coordinate with internal/external auditors
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Tax, and Operations
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decisions
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, accuracy, and timelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
  • 6–10 years of experience in US Accounting / R2R (Record to Report)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Prior experience in a Team Lead / Assistant Manager / Manager role
  • Expertise in General Ledger, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Close processes
  • Experience handling audits and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / NetSuite / QuickBooks)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling basics)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with US-based clients or in a global delivery model
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Prior experience in shared services / BPO / KPO environment
  • Certification or exposure to automation tools (Power BI, Alteryx, etc.)
