About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical U.S. Accountant to join our finance team in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks, a strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles, and experience in financial reporting and accounting operations.
This role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports, supporting tax compliance, and working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and support month-end closing.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Handle accruals, amortization, reversals, GL mapping, and Chart of Accounts.
- Manage controlling accounts, account finalization, and FX transactions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support preparation and filing of U.S. federal and state tax returns.
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide financial insights to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of U.S. accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, GL, accruals, amortization, and month-end closing.
- Exposure to U.S. federal and state tax compliance is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
