Job Summary
Crane USA is looking for an experienced Production Merchandiser to join our team at Noida (on-site). The candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, managing suppliers, and supporting the product development cycle while ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and smooth cross-functional coordination.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Manage the complete order lifecycle, from order confirmation through production, inspection, and final shipment execution.
- Coordinate with factories and vendors for production planning, capacity alignment, and execution in line with approved timelines.
- Ensure strict adherence to Time & Action (T&A) plans and committed delivery schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the US team on all production-related communication and updates.
- Maintain and update daily production trackers, including order status, approvals, and progress reports.
- Monitor product quality across all stages of production to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
- Coordinate inline and final inspections with QA/QC teams and ensure closure of inspection observations.
- Manage product testing processes, including coordination with labs and ensuring compliance with testing standards.
- Follow up with vendors for timely raw material sourcing, production readiness, and line planning.
- Proactively identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including order files, T&A calendars, and production tracking systems.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for shipment planning, container booking, and execution.
- Develop and optimize container load plans to ensure efficient space utilization and cost-effective shipments.
- Verify and prepare production invoices, ensuring accuracy in quantities, pricing, and shipment details and should also maintain production file for each shipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production, merchandising, product development, or sourcing within the textile industry.
- Strong knowledge of soft furnishings and hard goods.
- Hands-on understanding of textile manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality standards.
- Experience in inventory management, costing, and supplier coordination.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional.
